The questionnaire includes four sections – individual basic data, the cognition on the related policies of electronic medical records, understanding degree of electronic medical records and difficulties in carrying out electronic medical records. After integrating the valid questionnaires, the results were analyzed via descriptive statistical, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression and they are summarized as follows: 1.In the section of “the cognition on the related policies of electronic medical records”, medical employees think that resources provided by the government will be helpful to electronic medical records. 2.The section of “understanding degree of electronic medical records” shows that medical members don’t understand electronic medical records well, but generally they still think information backup, system recovery and urgent emergency mechanism are necessary in case electronic system might break down. 3.In the section of “difficulties in carrying out electronic medical records”, it shows that there are still many problems, such as privacy concern. 4.Educational degrees and seniority play important roles in the all sections of the questionnaire. 5.Medical employees’ cognition on the related policies of electronic medical records affect their understanding of electronic medical records and the difficulties in carrying out electronic medical records. 6.Medical employees’ understanding of electronic medical records also affects the difficulties in carrying out electronic medical records. 7.Among medical employees with demographic characteristics, the cognition on the related policies of electronic medical records and the understanding of electronic medical records, the cognition on the related policies of electronic medical records are the most significant in predicting the difficulties in carrying out electronic medical records. We expect the result of this study can help hospitals understand the difficulties in carrying out electronic medical records so that they can develop electronic medical records system.
