Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理學院碩士班 === 97 === This research investigates the professional competencies required of a labor dispute mediator. Using Kaohsiung municipal labor dispute mediators as research subjects, professional competencies of labor dispute mediators are analyzed and explored via investigation of related literature, and surveys of other labor researchers are analyzed using Delphi and Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the relative importance of various competencies. The goal of this research is to determine the importance of professional competencies for labor dispute mediators, and thereby improve labor dispute mediator training. Survey participants ranked professional knowledge as the most important criteria; secondary factors were ranked by labor dispute mediators as follows: 1. labor laws; 2. labor dispute resolution procedures; 3. communication and coordination; 4. mediator background; 5. conflict resolution. The results will be provided as reference to real world practitioners.
