Summary: | 碩士 === 弘光科技大學 === 職業安全與防災研究所 === 97 === The purposes of this study were to explore the structure of safety performance at group-level, and to investigate interaction effects of organizational and individual factors on the safety performance. The author employed a questionnaire survey to achieve this objective. The population was 2,913 teachers in departments of electrical and electronic engineering at universities in Taiwan in 2006. The valid sample sizes of pilot study and formal study were 164 and 373 respectively, yielding response rates of 54.67% and 54.29%. The author enforced three statistical methods such as exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and two-way MANOVA. The results indicated that safety performance included three dimensions: safety inspection, accident investigations and safety motivation. The results also showed that the interaction effects of organizational and individual factors on the safety performance reached statistically significant levels. As such, whether or not individual perception of safety performance differs must be determined by the organizational factors.
