碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 應用心理學系碩士班 === 97 === The purpose of this research is to investigate transgender individuals’ couple relationships. To understand how transgender individuals’ appearances affect their experiences on intimate relationship, and to interpret how they assign meaning on their relationships. This research is designed by qualitative research and hermeneutic phenomenological method in order to interpret the meaning of transsexual individuals’ have assigned on their relationships and appearances. Moreover, the participants, the researcher, and the peer have reviewed this research in order to make sure the authenticity the information, analysis, and interpretation of this research. After three in-depth interviews, seven texts, and interpretations, this research is mainly discussed four main topics on transgenders’couple relationships. The topics are: （1）the progress and the change in transgenders’ relationships；（2）gender performativity in the relationships（3）live in the limitaion；（4）the nature of beauty。 Through the outcome of this research, the pubic would understand the situations that transgender have being through, and would understand how the heterosexual culture have influenced the most of people. Therefore, we do not respect and understand the gender diversity. At the end of this research, the writer has provided relevant suggestions to the outcome.
