Summary: | 碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 國際企業學系碩士班 === 97 === The purpose of this study is to understand the correlation between Taiwanese police personnel leisure participation, perception, and obstacles. Research subjects are current police personnel in Taiwan who are randomly sampled. Since different regions have different complexities in security, the questionnaire is divided into regions of north, central, southern, eastern, and island police personnel, in order to establish a more objective and academic study that focuses on genuine police personnel leisure forms. This study had 900 official questionnaire samples, of which 812 were retrieved; incomplete questionnaires were removed, and there were 778 valid samples, with a retrieval rate of 90%, usable rate of 86 %. The data analysis includes descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Schffe’ post-tests.
According to the results, police personnel spend more time in leisure participation types involving family, sports, and relaxation; they spend most money on family activities and hope to spend most time with their families in leisure. They fully understand that leisure participation is beneficial for personal health. Within the expected range, having more time for leisure and feeling time fly past while engaging in leisure activities brings great enjoyment, and can relieve stress and elevate work efficacy. In terms of leisure obstacles, reasons for lack of leisure participation include family influence, friends, partners with family obligations, and other obligations.
According to analysis, for those who are older, have worked a higher number of years, are married with children, and are security police, they have a high degree of identification with leisure perception, and believe that leisure is beneficial. Police personnel who work in central Taiwan have lower leisure perception. Security police have more leisure obstacles than crime-control police, police who serve in north Taiwan have more leisure obstacles, police who serve in south Taiwan have fewer leisure obstacles and are happier. Differences in terms of gender, education, and level of job status do not reach significant levels, and are not different.
