Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 環境與防災設計學系碩士班 === 97 === This paper presents an investigation into fabric anisotropy effects on sand behavior. The microscale fabric orientation of specimens with different particle shapes(oblate and spherical) and sample preparation methods may influence it’s macroscopic behavior, such as permeability and mechanical properties. In this research the Hydraulic Transportation method(HT), Multiple Sieving Pluviation method(MSP) and Wet-Tamped method(WT) have been used to simulate the process of reclamation and to prepare testing samples. A series of anisotropic permeability tests, triaxial compression tests and triaxial extension tests have been performed on these specimens. Detailed comparisons of test results are made to assess the performance in capturing the fabric anisotropic effects. To stand on the test results, that the anisotropic characteristics of the soil have significant effect on the permeability and shearing strength. Consequently, the fabric orientation and the direction of stress application to the specimen should be considered in the selection of design parameters in geotechnical analyses.
