The participants of this research were the large-scale tires maintaining workers. The purpose of this study was to investigate the distri-bution of musculoskeletal injury and the risk factors for the large-scale tires maintaining workers. It was anticipated to interfere with ergonomics to reduce the musculoskeletal disor-ders of the maintaining workers. Revised NMQ questionnaire was utilized to investigate and understand the muscu-loskeletal discomfort of large-scale tires maintaining workers. Also, Quick Exposure Check (QEC) was applied to evaluate the risk factors for the musculoskeletal disorder under expos-ing in the maintenance working condition. The research method for revised NMQ questionnaire was interview. In this research, 90 questionnaires were completed. The results indicated there were 82.2% of the maintenance workers feeling musculoskeletal discomfort consciously. The most uncomfortable parts of the musculoskeletal system were low back (74.4%) and right shoulder (43.3%). The discomfort caused by working reached to 84%. After analyzing the personal background information (ages) and working data (the use of aids), the result showed that the weight of pneumatic wrench used by the maintenance workers reached above 16 kilograms (84.4%), and the non-aids users yielded to 61.1%, and there were not a significant difference on the muscu-loskeletal discomfort, respectively. For a better understanding, videotaping was used to collect the working condition for 20 participants. After utilizing QEC to evaluate the exposing value of the musculoskeletal disor-ders risk factors, the result revealed that back (90% for Extremely-high and High), shoul-der/arm (70% for Extremely-high and High), neck (40% for Extremely-high and High) and wrist/hand (30% for Extremely-high and High) were required for ergonomics interference to reduce the exposure levels. Moreover, this research also proved the sensitivity of QEC was 0.938, which had the practicability for checking and evaluating the large-scale tires maintain-ing workers. Overall, the reason to cause the musculoskeletal discomfort of the large-scale tires main-taining workers were awkward working posture, using of heavy tools, moving heavy material repetitive work. It was suggested to not only reduce the non-nature working posture and improper exertion, but also try to lower the weight of tools and to use the aids properly. Revised NMQ questionnaire was utilized to investigate and understand the muscu-loskeletal discomfort of large-scale tires maintaining workers.
