A Study on the Relation of Athlete Psychological Skills, Athletic Coachability and Sport performance of elite Players

碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 體育學系碩士班 === 97 === This study sampled 61 players of 2007-2008 Super Basketball League (SBL) social first division basketball teams including Yu-Lon, Media, Da-Cin, Pu-Yuan, Taiwan Tel, Taiwan Beer and Taiwan Bank. Subjects were asked to complete Sport Psychological Skills Scale and Athletic Coachability Scale during the competition period. Offense and defense skills data was collected from SBL official website. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s post test, Pearson correlation and multiple stepwise regression. The results were as follows: A. As for athlete psychological skills, it reached significant difference (p<.05) on “Confidence” factor among various level groups. High level group players got higher score than low level group. However, there was no significant difference (p>.05) among all factors on athletic coachability scale. B. There were significant differences (p<.05) among various psychological skills and athletic coachability group players on part of basketball offense and defense skills. Results revealed that high psychological skill and athletic coachability group players performed better than medium and low groups. C. It reached significant correlation level (p<.05) among basketball players’ athlete psychological skills, athletic coachability and part of basketball offense and defense skills. D. Parts of psychological skills and athletic coachability factors could predict the performance of some basketball offense and defense skills.
