Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 97 === Hospital management generally considers a lot of criteria or factors such as service quality, benefit, market share, efficiency, effectiveness, etc. in hospital performance evaluation. Assuming remaining resources from each examination procedure of checkup can be utilized by the health examination center for more revenues, under various market requirements, this study first proposes a research framework for planning service-oriented health examination packages and providing suggestions for pricing strategy based on several mock drills. Besides analytic hierarchy process (AHP) applied to scheduling health examination and planning service-oriented or customized packages for multi-criteria decision making (MCDM), pricing strategy is then derived interactively under considerations of each package’s cost analysis and its related market situation. Based on earlier research in scheduling literatures and the proposed framework in this study, a management support system (MSS) for planning and pricing health examination packages is developed by using evolutionary prototyping method.
Further, various cases from the real data warehouse of some hospital information system in Northern Taiwan were tested and analyzed on the prototype. As market segmentation for sorting examinees related to examination procedures was obtained by data analysis on data warehouse, graphic user interface (GUI) of the prototype can interactively offer flexible and adaptable examination packages and their pricing strategies for hospital promotion. Finally, the usefulness of prototype and its managerial analysis for planning and pricing examination packages offered by the health examination center are validated and reported by several empirical results.
