Based on techniques of data mining, this study presents a research framework and a prototype for interactively finding useful information and then planning personalized curriculum for different requirements of each student from very specific school. An empirical experiment has been conducted by using data from the management information system of National Open University. According to each student’s preference from knowledge base, the purpose of this study is to suggest a decision model for planning personalized curriculum. Data warehouse combined with data mining techniques, analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and multi-objective programming can effectively adjust dynamic response, and relevant needs of students to shorten decision-making process. Further, the multi-objective decision model can dynamically determine elective courses to meet user expectation for planning a better learning program and may receive a recommended list of courses through friendly user interfaces.
