The participants in this study include ten young children in kindergartens located in the Taipei area. In the teacher’s group, six children were massaged by teachers before nap time (more than half an hour), while the others were massaged by the parents at bedtime in the parental group. The A-B-A-B withdrawal design of single-subject research was adopted to obtain the research data. The independent variable of the study was intimate massage, and the dependent variable was sleeping promotion. The performance data was collected by the researcher during the five phases—the baseline (A1), intervention (B1), generalization (A2), intervention (B2), maintenance (A3). Each phase lasted for two weeks. An XY line chart was created to plot the data points and the data was analyzed through the visual analysis method and time-series C statistics. The results of the study are as follows: 1. In the teacher’s group, the duration of promoting sleep was significantly shortened after the six children had been massaged for around ten minutes. 2. In the parental group, after intimate massage, two of the children exhibited a marked improvement in sleep promotion. 3. However, there are some negative influences on sleep promotion. Such as: Anxiety or overexcitement A big change in life Over independence Lying on the back while sleeping Sensitivity to being touched 4. The maintenance effects of intimate massage on five of the children were secured in this study. Based on the above results of the study, further discussion and research is recommended.
