Summary: | 碩士 === 佛光大學 === 公共事務學系 === 97 === This thesis takes high school teachers of Yilan country as research subject and studies the political alienation of this specifically designated group. The primary research tools are “Scale for Causes of Political Alienation” drafted by Professor Liu Yih-Jiun and Wang Ting-Chung, and “Political Alienation Composite Indicator” questionnaire drafted by Professor Hsu Huo-Yen. This research focused on high school teachers of Yilan County and surveyed the questionnaire by random sampling investigation. Using statistical quantification as research method, this research analyzes the cause of this designated groups’ political alienation and provides following reference and suggestions for future political alienation researches.
This research questionnaire was sent out from in the mid-May to the end of May 2009, a total of 299 questionnaires sent, 252 were valid questionnaires recovered. The returning percentage is around 84.28%. Based on the retrieved questionnaires, and with the use of statistics software (SPSS12.0 Chinese version) to conduct analysis, the main research findings are described below:
1. The high school teachers of Yilan country have an overall political alienation that is middle- strong.
2. Using political alienation cause measurement chart to conduct analysis, the result indicates that the cause of political alienation of this designates group of this study shows a bimodal distribution.
3. From the perspective of the cause of political alienation, the cause of political alienation of high school teachers of Yilan is primarily the lack of political morality.
4. Analysis of individual factors, Seniority and Father’s Birthplace would significantly affect the Yilan high school teachers’ political alienation.
5. Both “Scale for Causes of Political Alienation” and “Political Alienation Composite Indicator” show consistency and relevance, which in turn indicates the validity of this questionnaire.
