He thought the professional level of industry will be substituted gradually by the knowledge workers. Enterprise managers need to study how to utilize mental ability, but to control workers’ hands. “Knowledge” had replaced elements of traditional production - lands, capitals and labors, became the main driving power of improving productivity and growing economy.
Due to the industrial model, labors supply and investment preference of new and developing country, many Taiwan shoes companies had established overseas manufacturing base. Mainland China and Vietnam are main areas. But those shoes companies probably move again due to various tax, environmental protection and anti-dumping policies. Facing those political, legal, cultural and regional environment factors, enterprises need to absorb past experiences and transfer the knowledge between the mother and child company, in order to maintain regular production and future development. The efficiency of knowledge transfer will affect the enterprise competitiveness greatly.
This research used questionnaire to conduct case investigation in a shoes company, which has established exceed 20 years in China, and take Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as the research analysis tool. To discuss what are the key indicators to influence knowledge transfer. According to the result of this research .This research obtains the following conclusions:
1. Sharing intention is the most important key indicator for knowledge transfer.
2. Staff’s centripetal force and learning attitude are more important than employee’s academic degrees.
3. Staff’s interpersonal relationships are more effective than the performance appraisal system for knowledge transfer.
4. SOPs are really useful in work to demonstrate capability of company. They are not only documents for ISO inspection.
5. The channels of knowledge transfer are tools only. They still need to conform to the corporate culture in order to promote the utilization.
