However, the related standards of SIP and accounting do not specify any mechanism to settle this dispute. In this paper, a non-repudiation mechanism for SIP accounting is presented to address the dispute between application service providers and consumers. This scheme is efficient because the client with a resource-limited device never need any time-consuming operation. Furthermore, it is practical since the proposed scheme can be easily added into the existing SIP accounting without much modification.
