Learning by PBL, the learners can learn the capabilities such as active researching, critical thinking, and collaborative learning. Through the learning process that let the learners discuss in one group, the learners can construct knowledge and solve the problem. Combining the distance learning system and the instruction design can make the online-learning more efficiently and promote the students to engage in learning. By incorporating the PBL activity with distance learning, the teacher and the students can perform a PBL activity at anytime and anywhere. The characteristics of the Internet makes itself be the most suitable environment for PBL such as information gaining, group discussing, and reflection. The goal of this project is to construct a distance learning system that is low cost, easy to operate, and support PBL. Through the computers and the Internet, the teacher and the students can perform PBL activity that provided by this system. The system is based on the open-source system, MOODLE.
