It is due to the fast changing environment at the construction sites and as well as high worker turnover rate caused difficult management in practice. The research discussed the appropriateness of construction safety and hygiene facilities standards and took moldboard support as an example for discussion. Utilized method of interview and survey with professionals, the study analyzed and discussed three major areas, including labor safety and hygiene administration methods, the related regulations, and moldboard support (steel pipe scaffold, composite steel column, adjustable steel column support), and also incorporated other commonly seen injuries, deficiencies, accidents into the questionnaires to discuss the obstruction areas at the construction site. In addition, the study also used analysis of categorization to discuss and search for alternative methods to correct unclear and improper areas in current regulations. The study results were submitted as suggestions for amending the construction safety facility standards. According to the survey analysis results, it was suggested to enhance the completeness of construction safety and hygiene facility standards, avoid conflicts between the standards and practical constructing methods, and actually carry out automatic inspection policies, to ensure worker’s life and property safety and as well as the fluency of construction projects.
