To survive today’s fiercely competitive market, LCD manufacturers must seek out new advantages. In the present case study, Total Productive Management (TPM) is used to help Company “A” improve and strengthen its production capability. Company “A” applied TPM to its business. The company implemented branch association activities to eliminate internal loss and wastage. Branch association activities, revealed problems, and pointed the way to solutions. Furthermore, company “A” demonstrated continuous improvement; this proves that TPM enhances efficiency and productivity. Branch association members were motivated to propose improvements voluntarily. TPM reduced production costs and promoted overall production efficiency. Key words: Total productive management (TPM), Productive forces, LCD industry
