碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 土地管理所 === 97 === As noted by Porter in his book, “The Competitive Advantage of Nations”, driver industry is a significant underpinning of regional economic development, and navigation mark of regional industry modernization. For this, the drive industries will promote the regional development. Actually, the majority of researches make mention of industry cluster were limited by the administrative area boundary. However, the location of industrial clusters probably exist address cross through the region in the real space. Besides, multi-scale is the other question we should be paid close attention to consider, so that we could compare with the variety of the cluster in the space. Therefore, the research approached the question as a modifiable areal unit problem (MAUP), and based on the industrial cluster theory to establish the spatial properties of driver industries For this vision to get the result is composed of three conclusions, include using industrial economic index to find the driver industries in Taichung, measuring the geographic concentration of driver industries by using M function index to know the threshold of distance was happen obviously concentrate are dissimilar, and adopting the clustering method of density not only breakthrough the regional boundary but also divide productively the location of industrial cluster in the space. A comprehensive survey, provide for a meaningful index to make decision efficiently in the future. For the purpose will encourage to integrative competitiveness, and to drive regional economic development.
