Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 土木工程所 === 97 === Over a long period due to its aging and the increasing traffic volume of a bridge, some problems may occur such as cracking of the bridge element, rebar exposure, etc. These problems may affect the overall structural behavior of the bridge without significant signs. Without early detection of these problems, they will cause significant disaster on vehicles and personnels.
The applications of GPR to nondestructive testings are extensive in many disciplines due to its advantages such as nondestructive, rapid, and graphical high resolution features. This thesis discusses and verifies the detection of bridge cracks and exposed rebars by GPR through a sieries of field tests in four aspects: pavement cracks, cracks on bridge deck, exposed rebars on bridge beam, and rebar location on bridge deck.
The research results confirm that GPR can be used to locate the actual positions and the depths of pavement cracks, bridge deck cracks, exposed rebars, and bridge deck rebars. Furthermore, the precise position can be obtained by 3-Dimentional presentation section.
