Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 人力資源暨公共關係學系碩士在職專班 === 97 === The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers’ leisure involvement, job com-mitment and job stress in elementary schools of Taichung County and to explore the re-lationship among variables. Survey questionnaires were sent to cluster random samples of officially employed teachers in elementary schools from October 15th to November 15th, 2008. There were 1083 cases in the sample and were 866 respondents which 816, equal to 75.5%, were valid. Three measurement scales including leisure involvement, job commitment, and job stress were computed by 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, single-factor variable analysis, and Pearson r. Results of analysis are as follows:
1. The mean of teachers’ leisure involvement is 3.81. It shows relative high leisure in-volvement. Only gender show significant differences in leisure involvement. Other demographic variables did not have significantly affected among teacher’s leisure involvement.
2. The mean of teachers’ job commitment is 3.57. It shows relative high job commitment. According to demographic variables, including gender, age, marital status, the youngest child status, job position, seniority and average monthly personal income, have shown significant differences in job commitment.
3. The mean of teachers’ job stress is 2.70. It shows relative low stress among teachers’ job. According to demographic variables, including age, the youngest child status, position, seniority, average monthly personal income, average annual family income have shown significantly difference in job stress.
4. The relationship among leisure involvement, job commitment and job stress showed significantly low negative relationship between job commitment and job stress; sig-nificantly low positive relationship between leisure involvement and job commitment; and relationship between leisure involvement and job stress was not found.
