The subjects of this sur-vey were teachers from Public and Private Elementary Schools in Taichung Area. We used a questionnaire, named Yamauchi and Templer’s Money Attitude Scale (MAS) and Chen & Volpe Financial Literacy scale. Some of the questionnaires were distributed to 300 teachers from public schools, some were distributed to 150 teachers from private elementary Schools .The number of the effective questionnaires from public schools was 238 with a response rate at 79.3%. The number of the effective questionnaires from private schools was 92 with a response rate at 61.3%.We did the data analysis using SPSS12.0 and exerted the Descriptic-Statistic- Analysis approach, the T-Test approach, One–Way ANOVA approach and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis. Those results : a. Teachers from public elementary schools manage their money better than from priate schools. Teachers from private elementary schools tend to value success by money and consider money as the source of anxiety. b. The financial literacy of public and private elementary schools in Taichung Area are in low level, and private elementary school teachers are in higher level in av-erage than public elementary school teachers.
