碩士 === 大葉大學 === 設計研究所 === 97 === Toys represent the lifestyle and local culture of every age’s “childhood.” The track of toys development has never been erased from the human history shows that there are some distinguishing characteristics are needed from human being. For instance, the toy car made by iron sheet, isn’t that reflects the society economic were growing back then or everyone were dreaming having a car of their own? This phenomenon has actual state clearly that toys are the culture products which were made with a lot of creativeness and full of educational meaning. However, toys’ background and meaning behind not only records the time contracture of society’s culture of history environment but also brought a lot of joy and accompanied a lot of children to go through their childhood which it does not says that Taiwan has actual been through the culture shock of Japan’s colonization and the period of support from United State’s development only. This research is based on the transition of toys in Taiwan’s standpoint and the significance of value as the track and also by reading the related literature documents and actual collecting, categorize, analyzing of toys, the results shows: (1)The westernize from Japan effected the form of toys in Taiwan. (2)After the aid of American, the design and technology of toys trace a lot of American ideas and values. (3)Taiwan culture of toys identifies the reproduction of the postcolonial culture, which still makes people keep in mind a lot.
