However, little consideration is being made on its applications in hotel environments. Hence, based on United Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the purpose of this study is to explore the acceptance of the RFID-based access control system of employees from 7 hotels. A total of 322 questionnaires were sampled, the questionnaire survey about one month period from January 20, 2009 to February 28, 2009, a total of 166 responses was deemed usable for the analyses, a 51.55% usable response rate. The research framework and all of the research hypotheses were demonstrated by the statistics techniques of multiple regression analysis and analysis of variance. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, performance expectance, effort expectance, and subjective norm have statistically significant and positive effects on behavior intention, further, facilitating conditions, compatibility, and behavior intention have statistically significant and positive effects on use behavior. Second, gender has significantly moderating effect on the relationship between subjective norm and behavior intention, age has significantly moderating effect on the relationship between facilitating conditions and use behavior, and experience has significantly moderating effect on the relationship between compatibility and use behavior.
