Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 環境工程與管理系碩士班 === 97 === Among the household garbage in Taiwan, the food waste accounts for twenty to thirty percent. The food waste is organic material which usually contains high proportion of water and fat, it turns rancid soon and thus raise public concern. However, if it is recycled or reused, it will help not only to improve the recycling program which the government strongly promotes to reach the goal of “zero waste”, but also to establish a sustainable resource-recycled society. For the moment, in Taiwan, the recycled food waste is mainly used for pig feeding or as organic compost. The primary treatment cost is the most important factor that decides which technique will be taken. Thus, this research aims to establish a mixed integer programming model which takes all kinds of costs into consideration, including the transportation cost, the construction fees, the selling price of waste food as pig feeding and as compost, etc, to analyze the best program for food waste recycling in different conditions. A study case in Taichung County is also demonstrated to realize the suitability and accessibility of the model.
