From the spectrum diagram, the refractive index of the tested medium can be obtained by use of the corresponding wavelength in the resonant dip. The new type biosensor is one or two right-angle prisms made of BK-7 glass. The right-angle prisms are coated with 2nm Ti film and 45.5 nm Au film. In the paper, a broaden band light source with the wavelength range of 200nm~1100nm is used. As the light source is incident on the biosensor, we can achieve the spectrum diagram at the output of the biosensor by an optical spectrum analyzer. The refractive index of the tested medium can be obtained by use of the corresponding wavelength in the resonant dip. The method has some merits, e.g., a simple optical setup, high resolution, high sensitivity, rapid measurement, and high stability, etc. It could be valuable for biochemical, biotechnology and chemical industry in the future. 王信福 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 56 zh-TW
