碩士 === 中原大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 97 === Abstract
This thesis proposes a high frequency inverter to drive CCFL to reach flexible brightness as well as high efficiency, and presents a new current balance method for multiple CCFLs driving.
For this study, a half bridge inverter has been employed for less switching losses, component stresses, and electromagnetic interference. For current balance, the proposed current balance method is adopted to avoid the need of feedback circuit for each lamp, and using one to one ratio transformers to reach current balance for multiple CCFLs. The number of transformers is less than other transformer type current balance circuits. It is simple and low cost.
Finally, the test and measurement of this system are carried out to show it's performance under different operating conditions, and the comparisons with other transformer type current balance circuits are also executed, and the experimental results confirm that it can fulfill the design purposes.
