碩士 === 正修科技大學 === 機電工程研究所 === 97 === This paper is to introduce the basic principles of sealing gasket and all kinds of gaskets, as well as to explore the design criteria of bolt-flange- gasket application. Gasket selection is a complex process because many factors should be considered when applied in a variety of different operating environment. The selection process could be realized according to different media、temperature、pressure、corrosive environment、gasket size、flange type、and…etc. Based on the understanding and establishment of selection mechanism for sealing gaskets, a commercial customerized gasket selection software has been developed.
