However, the design of the geometric shape of a machining tool is usually difficult. It is necessary to have many complex experimental procedures, so that the product efficiency and its related data can be obtained. If not, the experimental procedures should be repeatedly revised until the estimated performance is achieved for the completion of the design. The whole process is really time consuming and expensive. As a result, it is worthy of studying how to reduce product design time and material costs so as to meet the designers’ requirements. Since CAD and CAE software packages are developed more and more progressively, it is very convenient to utilize the drawing function of CAD software and the analyzing capability to carry out the product design and simulation analysis. In this study, we use Solidworks 3D to construct machining tools with different geometrical models. Through the application of ANSYS and experimental results of the analysis, we analyze the buckling stress and natural frequency and make comparisons with commonly used designs. It is proved that the obtained analyzing data indeed can become a reference guide for design. 龔皇光 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 84 zh-TW
