碩士 === 中央警察大學 === 公共安全研究所 === 97 === This report had its origins in work based on the analysis of airport security aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. I utilized United States congressional hearings, Federal Aviation Administration reports, studies about airport security, various media outlets, and other sources of information. Using this information I was able to draw certain conclusions about airport security. Being concerned about the risk, cost and benefits that checkpoint screening for explosives and checked bag screening represent in the effort of securing the airlines and avoiding potential terrorist to damage the aviation system this report, is an attempt to build on and supplement the work of who are involve in the advance and investigation of airport security. Therefore, the present project is including a critical overview of the hijackers plan and how the aviation security system failed on the morning of September 11, 2001. In additional, the 9/11 catastrophe have been also characterized on the failure nation’s law enforcement, border and immigration controls, and transportation security systems. Taking as an example of such devastated experience I have found that government agencies must remain vigilant in order to protect citizens and the free trade of commerce. Money must continue to be invested in new technology in airport security and immigration agents must be taught to look for increasingly sophisticated methods terrorists use to enter the United States. Countries must coordinate their efforts to improve security in order to keep the free flow of business people between destinations while keeping citizens safe.
