Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國醫藥大學 === 針灸研究所碩士班 === 97 === Our previous studies has known that cerebral cortex participates and plays a modulate role in physiological mechanisms of acupuncture. Several reports find that different frequencies electroacupuncture (EA) produce different physiological action mechanisms. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of EA at different frequencies on autonomic nerve activity and blood pressure. A total 20 healthy adult volunteers were studied, the sham, 2 Hz, 15 Hz and 50 Hz EA were applied to bilateral Zusanli (ST36) and Shanjuxu acupoints (ST37), respectively. The individual components of heart rate variability (HRV) and blood pressure were measured in the pre-EA, EA and post EA periods, respectively. Results indicated that 2 Hz, 15 Hz and 50 Hz EA could increase the values of high frequency (HF), low frequency (LF), total power (TP), and variance of heart rate (VAR); 2 Hz EA also could reduce LF/HF ratio; 50 Hz EA could decrease diastolic pressure and mean arterial pressure. In conclusion, 2 Hz, 15 Hz and 50 Hz EA apply to bilateral Zusnali-Shanjuxu acupoints can increased parasympathetic activities, and 2 Hz EA also can reduce sympathetic activities. 50 Hz EA can decrease diastolic pressure and mean arterial pressure. Therefore, suggesting 2 Hz, 15 Hz and 50 EA play different partly role on autonomic activities and blood pressure in human. We suggest that 2 Hz may be applied for the modulation of autonomic activities and 50 Hz EA may be applied for the reduction of blood pressure.
