A study group of 648 junior high school students in Maioli County were chosen for observation. Students were divided into Group A Class of 314 students and non Group A Class of 334 students. This research explores the difference between Group A and non Group A students’ behavioral intention for participating in leisure activities, in order to understand why they chose diverse leisure activities. The research findings present the educational organizations with an understanding of how ability grouping differences on the student’s choice of activities. Therefore, this study informs the recommendations on leisure counseling and leisure activity planning with a view to improve the leisure environment for young people, increasing their intention to participate in leisure activities, and enhancing their quality of life. The conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. The application of Multi-group analysis in Structural Equation Modeling concludes: From Group A Class and non Group A Class students in Miaoli County, the global goodness-of-fit in the overall model shows significance. This in turn rejects the null hypothesis H . As the Behavioral Intension of the two groups cannot be illustrated by the common mode, there should be a distinction between their behavioral intention models. 2. After parameter estimation of seprated model for Group A Class and non Group A Class students of Miaoli County are: (1) Group A Class: Behavioral intention = 0.25 * Attitude + 0.26 * Subjective norm + 0.47 * Perceived behavioral control; (2) Non Group A Class: Behavioral intention = 0.26 * Attitude + 0.32 * Subjective norm + 0.34 * Perceived behavioral control. Keyword:Theory of Planed Behavior, Structural Equatuon Modeling,Multi-group analysis
The purpose of this study is to analysis Attitude, Subjective norm and Perceived behavioral control dimensions regarding student activity choice from the model of Theory of Planned Behavior by using the Multi-group analysis within the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).
The conclusions of the study are as follows:
