Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 電機工程學系(所) === 97 === In this thesis, a set of received signal strength (RSS) from access points (APs) is utilized to partition the desired area into at least six regions. The partition scheme is basically relative to the geometric setup of the access points. In other words, the testing points relative to different APs, not only distance but also geometric relation, will result in different set of RSS. However, RSSs always come with undesired noise which can be reduced its effect by applying the Kalman filter. During certain period of time, the average of signal strength of the set of RSSs always varied which causes inconsistence by using individual RSS alone. The proposed partition scheme, using not only the individual strength but also the difference among the same set that can overcome this problem. The additional four corner regions can also be identified by this scheme. Based on the partition scheme, statistics of reference points have been collected off-line for real-time estimating the location of testing points.
