According to the annual report of Commission of the European Communities in 2008, WEEE Directive execute many year results are actually faint, contains instructions to implement processes and relevant standards will carry on the revision. The WEEE Directive’s revision will grow new business needs and processes, producers and members of the recycling system must deal with IT and business process adjustments in order to meet the requirements of WEEE Directive. To enhance the competitive advantage of companies involved in a recycling process, this research has proposed a WEEE compliant RFID solution for improving the recycling process efficiency. Besides, the proposed RFID solution is developed with the reusable service components based on SOA framework so that the recycling chain members can flexibly and effectively adapt the proposed RFID solution to the changes of green regulations and recycling processes.
