Regarding Dr. Debra R. Rolison. et al. previous research, their results demonstrated that electrified micro-heterogeneous catalysis reaction system is capable to drive catalytic processes with applied dc voltages in low ionic strength de-ionized water with dispersion of microelectrodes, such as platinum incorporated zeolites, to promote the reaction rates or the selectivity of various reactions. This study was using platinum metal clusters、gold metal clusters、carbon supported platinum and gold metal clusters in de-ionized water suspension. Upon applying a dc electric field strength of 80 V/cm between two feeder electrodes in this high impedance pure water electrokinetics reactor and the experiment results indicates that electric field promote the reaction rates for CO conversion to CO2 .
