Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程所 === 97 === In the general SIP-based video conferencing service, the network bandwidth and equipment resource have to be reserved. The participants must negotiate the URI of their conference server, i.e. conference ID. Every participant then makes a connection to the conference server actively by himself. However, this way to make a conference call is different from the users’ habit to make a call in PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). Moreover, making a conference at anytime and anywhere is not supported, and it is very inflexible. Thus, the thesis hopes to apply the way of making a call to making a conference call. The participants can construct a conference at anytime and anywhere, and they can invite any participant to join their conference. Briefly, this thesis realizes an Ad Hoc conference. In order to approach the Ad Hoc conference, MIME encoding and encapsulating participants’ URI and SDP into SIP message body are used in the thesis. Finally, the SIP UA is implemented in an embedded system to verify and test the system functionalities and real performance.
