Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育所 === 97 === The purposes of this study are to realize the leading process and experience of community organization’s leaders, to understand motivations for leadership, to explore the leading behaviors and performance in the community organization, and to discover the process of transformative learning and growth as a leader. Qualitative research methods are adopted in this research including the deep interview, participant observation and document analysis for gathering data. In this multiple-case study, three leaders were the objects to participate in an in-depth interview which designed to gather data about relevant and important learning events during their community leadership process. The leaders also offered their experience of how to lead their community organization and how to perform their leading behaviors, and what they learn form their leading process. The conclusions from this study as the following: 1.The reasons for being the community leaders include accepting leadership of community organization passively and having spare time to participate community works after retired. 2.The community leaders’ background edge and the family support are helpful to promote the community work. 3.Gathering the community resources with community chief and local temples can reach the goal to utilize the resources effectively within the community. 4.The fund applied from official project and rewards form competitions are the main financial source of community organizations when there is no fund by their own. 5.Community leaders organize internal community cadre with enthusiasm and willing residents to ensure smooth implementation of community work. 6.Community leaders persuade residents to join community work by setting a good example and taking the initiative in interacting with community residents. 7.By community collaboration to cultivate the involvement, the sense of responsibility and the capacity to implement the community work. 8.The trigger events of internal factors to facilitate transformative learning include the leading process of leader themselves and community cadre’s motivations. 9.The trigger events of external factors to facilitate transformative learning include the guidance and the assistance from government and school, the inspiration and support from gaining rewards form competition. Both of these reinforce the leaders’ confidence to change and learn. 10.Leaders in this study change their perspective about community work and become more willing to involve. 11.After involving community work, leaders in this study are aware of the individual changes include establishing good interpersonal relations, changing personality, upgrading the ability to implement community work, and being wiling to share the experience to others. 12.After involving community work, leaders in this study are aware of the changes in the community level include that residents become paying attention to community environmental sanitation, being willing to participate in community affairs and changing their selfish attitude.
