Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 臨床心理學研究所 === 97 === The purpose of this study is to examine the differences in psychophysiological health between the high-hardy individuals and low-hardy ones. Study1: one hundred forty-two one undergraduate students(40males and 102 females; with a mean age of 19.71±1.68 years)finished scales, the data is gathered to examine the relationship between Hardiness personality and health-related variables, The result of Study1 show that the high-hardy group had a lower level of Perceived Stress(F1,90 = 57.99, p < .01), Depression(F1, 90 = 15.03, p < .01), Trait Anxiety(F1, 90=21.53, p < .01) and State Anxiety(F1, 90 = 22.89, p < .01) than the low-hardy group. Study2: participants completed a laboratory experiment, which included a baseline (5 min), a mental arithmetic stress phase (5 min) and a recovery phase (10 min). Continuous blood pressure and heart rates of the participants were acquired using an arterial tonometer and ECG, respectively. The result of Study2 show that the high-hardy group had a lower DBP level (F1,38 = 3.87, marginal significan) during the mental arithmetic task, and a lower recover level(F1,38 = 5.02, p < .05) during the recovery phase. These indicate that the high-hardy individuals do not display a higher response level under stress.
