The applications of ionic liquids are widespread because of their low vapor pressure、low melting point、high polarity、relative non-flammability、high ionic conductivity、and thermally stability. It is important to know the viscosity, solubility, and other physicochemical properties. The instrument of capillary electrophoresis (CE) was employed to investigate the viscosity of IL and solubility of IL in water, due to the advantages of small sampling and automaticity of CE system along with the capability of simultaneous determination of trace analyte. For viscosity measurement, CE equipment was tested to be accurate for low to high viscosity liquid. The viscosity of a new prepared IL, [b-3c-i][NTf2], was measured to be 82c.p. Capillary electrochromatography (CEC) is a relatively new separation technique that combines the selectivity of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with the high resolution and efficiency of capillary electrophoresis (CE). For this work, the silica surface was covalent bonded with ionic liquid to reverse the EOF. This posited charged column can reduce the adsorption of positive species and is intended to separate basic change and basic proteins. The bonded ionic liquid column successfully separated a mixture of benzoic acids with 50mM citrate/MeCN(90/10) running electrolyte. Guor-Tzo Wei 魏國佐 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 79 zh-TW
