Description
Summary:碩士 === 國防大學理工學院 === 應用化學碩士班 === 97 === In this study, various factors affect the electrocatalytic activity over PtSn/C catalysts investigated: pretreatment conditions and accrescence of titanium dioxide to enhance acticity. The series of PtSn/C、PtSn/TC catalysts were prepared by the formic acid method and characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), BET. The electrochemical activity for ethanol oxidation and CO stripping were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). Based on the CV results, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) Modification of carbon black with titania (TiO2) can raise the content of surface hydroxyl groups to promote the stripping of CO. (2) Increasing the amount of TiO2 on the anodic catalyst can improve the catalytic activity and lower potential. (3) Addition of tin to Pt/TC catalyst enhance the grate performance. The PtSn/30TC catalyst showed the better EtOH electro-oxidation performance with EP (0.7 V) and Ip (26 mA/mg). (4) Photoelectrochemical test showed the TiO2 can enhanc the activity and lower potential on EtOH electro-oxidation.
