First the new propellants are aged by means of the aging oven to simulate the propellants of various storage periods under natural environment, and then the stabilizer contents of these simulated aging propellants are measured using the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The variation of stabilizer content for various propellants can be obtained to evaluate the decay curve of stability under natural environment. Furthermore, the decay curve of stability can also be applied to evaluate the lifetime of propellant. These research results will contribute to evaluating the stability and efficiency of various propellants under long-term storage condition and reduce explosive contingencies.
