Summary: | 碩士 === 國防大學理工學院 === 造船及海洋工程碩士班 === 97 === In order to get the robust parameter design, this research mainly uses the Taguchi method to study the effect of operating parameters of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC). Reducing the variation of generating electric power of the PEMFC and having the best dynamic characteristics is expected in this study. It is the better that the slope of the electric power trend is the larger. In the experiment, a single PEMFC (Single-Cell PEMFC) is adopted. Investigating two different types of the gas diffusion layer to the fuel cell is carried out, and the performance of two fuel cells is analyzed and compared with each other. In this study, the controllable factors include the thickness of gas diffusion layer; operating temperature and pressure of fuel cell; humidification temperature and reactant flow rate at anode and cathode sides. In the analysis, the concept of the dynamic characteristics based on the Taguchi method is utilized. Changing the density of electric current, which is considered as a signal factor, can obtain an optimal combination of parameter levels. Hence, the optimal output electric power will be achieve. The results of experiments reveal that the thicknesses of the gas diffusion layer, the interaction between operating pressure and operating temperature have a significant effect on the performance of the fuel cell.
