Therefore, the research of electric appliance fire seems very important, in order to avoid or reduce occurrence of the similar calamity. This paper utilizes Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) field model simulation program to simulate a fire accident occurred in a hillside townhouse building in Keelung city. This is a typical fire of stack effect. Computational method has been used to study the upper temperature distribution, gas layer height and concentration of CO in fire site at the time happening.
