Analysis of the Optical Properties of Moth-Eye-Like Nanostructures Using Transfer Matrix Method

碩士 === 元智大學 === 電機工程學系 === 96 === The research is to analyze the optical properties of the moth-eye-like nanostructures using transfer matrix method model (TMM). We have studied three types of moth-eye-like nanostructures, i.e., cone, semi-ellipse and awl-shaped. The moth-eye-like structure has an i...

We have studied three types of moth-eye-like nanostructures, i.e., cone, semi-ellipse and awl-shaped. The moth-eye-like structure has an index of reflection of 1.3 placed on top of a dielectric with an index of reflection of 1.49. The moth-eye-like part of the structure is sliced into 60 layers with each layer represented by a transfer matrix in the TMM simulations. Based on this 60-matrix model, we calculate the reflectivity vs. wavelength (reflection spectrum) with a wavelength range from 200 to 1100 nm and incident angle of 0 to 60 degrees. The height of the moth-eye-like nanostructures ranges from 50 to 300 nm. The base width of the nanostructures is from 50 to 300 nm. The semi-ellipse has a better antireflection performance as compared to the other two types of moth-eye-like nanostructures. The results of this study provide us an insight as how the moth-eye-like nanostructures can have a better performance in antireflection as compared to multilayer thin film coating.
