Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 化學工程與材料科學學系 === 96 === The properties of prepared proton conducting siloxane membranes used for the direct methanol fuel cell are studied. The water absorption contents, water retention capabilities, conductivities, mechanical properties, methanol permeation rates, and chemical resistance of formulated siloxane membranes with different modifiers are analyzed. All prepared membranes can be homogeneously cured at room temperature by UV (365 nm) in a limited time. The greatest water content of prepared membranes is 40 wt.%. The water contents and water retention of membranes are affected by hydrophilic monomers and modifiers used. The inferior acrylate constituents can deteriorate the thermal stability and chemical resistance of the siloxane membranes prepared. From AC impedance analyses, it is obtained that the conductivity is mainly affected by the hydrophilic constituents in the formulated membranes and the greatest conductivity obtained is 4.4x10-3 S/cm.
