Starting from the survey the requirements of hyper-compact and super-slim LCD devices like cellular phones, PDAs and notebook PCs. By case study methodology, it had been investigated how a light/thin LCD practice with the development core techniques which had been designed in the panel. The development core techniques are: (1) Backlight module lighting; (2) Cell glass thinning. The study also focuses on core techniques to reflect current tends in manufacturing engineering. Finally this paper points out the glass thinning is based on etching chemical to enhance the fabrication characteristics.
