But the market of medical industry in Taiwan is limited. It is difficult to expand the market, so the hospitals have to save the costs. Because the medicine costs of hospital material is too hard to change, it is very important to save the procurement costs of medical device. A goal of this study is to find out the criteria of supplier selection for medical device procurement managers in the medical industry and the weighted evaluation for the criteria. Consequently this study set up a criteria list for supplier selection and it could be a reference for medical industry. This study preceded to interview with the procurement persons in charge of the medical device supplier selection in the hospitals. First, we used professional writing to find out the consider criteria of supplier selection for the medical device procurement persons in the medical industry and result the structural frames. Then analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was adopted to proceed with weight evaluation for the criteria of the medical device supplier selection. There are seven structural frames form this research, including: the capability for quality, delivery and credit, the capability of technology, the cost of buyer, the capability of supply, the capability of service, and the capability of cooperate and coordinate. The resulting findings from this research are that the item, the capability to quality, is considered to the most important factor for the medical device procurement persons in this medical industry, and the next is the item, delivery and credit. The conclusion of this study may be a good reference to the procurement managers of the medical device and related researches.
