碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 設計運算研究所碩士班 === 96 === In many conditions, the designer is always constricted by the work environment all the time, because the emotion is a very important element in the work environment. The designer’s emotion controls the behavior and the result in the design process. In this study, we try to design a smart space to assist design activity in an emotional approach, and study how to design a work environment to assist design activity from the concept of improving emotion. The purpose of this research is to improve designer’s emotion and design activity. The research methods involve literature analysis and examination, interview with designer, questionnaire examination, observation, and system development. The result of this study showed that the spatial events can improve designer’s emotion to assist design activity from emotional approach. Assume that there’s a lot of information by the designer preference in the environment; it will affect the designer and the spatial events try to keep or improve designer’s emotion. To conclude, this study tries to design a smart space to assist design activity from an emotional approach. We understand the emotion is an important factor in design activity, and spatial events assist designer in design process.
