In tradition, most control systems are built with wired network. When it happened that the equipments have to be expanded and/or upgraded, a lot of additional cables should be re-built. This inevitably increases system cost. Due to the progress in wireless communication technologies, the transmission bandwidth and efficiency have been substantially promoted. The applications combining wireless network technology and remote monitoring control have thus obtained high attention recently. In this thesis, wireless communication concept is adopted on traditional controller equipments. With the introduction of a wireless gateway, the information from local devices can transmit through wireless channels. Remote administrators can then receive and process incoming information by using wireless communication modules. The direct benefit is that users can control remote machines through proper human machine interface on the server.
