In Taiwan, the ID education of institute of technology can be divided into three levels: 1.Continuity: Mingchi Institute of Technology (established in 1964), Tatung Institute of Technology (established in 1966), and National Taipei Institute of Technology (established in 1966). 2.Break off: Kun-Shan Institute of Technology (established in 1965), Tung-Fang Institute of Technology (established in 1966), Hsin-Pu Institute of Technology (established in 1967), and Nan-Jeon Institute of Technology (established in 1969). 3.Later Period: Van-Nung Institute of Technology (established in 1986), United Institute of Technology (established in 1987), Oriental Institute of Technology (established in 1989), and Fortune Institute of Technology (established in 1990). Through the literature review and interviews, we have individually explored the school background, course curriculum, faculty members, and source of students of each institute. The ID class key points could conclude as follow: 1.In 1960s, the ID teachers’ backgrounds almost were art and craft, due to no formal ID class systems, the teachers learned ID and teached ID at the same time. 2.The Taiwan ID systems originated from CPTC which employ some Professors from German, Japan, and U.S.A., like Glasenapp and Mr. Tsukasa, to plan or propose the ID class systems. 3.In 1960s, most of all ID schools took Mingchi Institute of Technology as ID classes’ blueprint. 4.In 1970s, due to the finance problems and full-time teachers were hard to find, four schools, Kun-Shan Tung-Fang Hsin-Pu Nan-Jeon, stopped enroll new ID students. 5.Form 1960 to 1980, due to the industrial circles didn’t take ID seriously, the ID students had less jobs, and most of them changed to space design or other areas. 6.In 1980s, the government wanted to promote industrial circles encouraging the schools set up ID programs, and the ministry of education frame basic ID class systems to train Taiwan ID students. none 楊靜 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 277 zh-TW
