Description
Summary:碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 工業設計系碩士班 === 96 === Garbage reduction, recycling and anti-junking have become an issue highly regarded by the international community. Aside from the integration of policies and implementation, whether the design of leftovers could fully function in the role in the process through the discovering of problems to propose a solution is the main purpose of the research. The goals of this research are : 1. To understand the present situation and way of leftovers disposal in metropolitan areas in Taiwan. 2. To discuss the problems of kitchen waste deriving from the way of disposal in metropolitan areas in Taiwan. 3. To propose a solution from the viewpoint of product design. The research discusses the differences between families of different social status and the acknowledgements and requirements towards leftover through understanding the backgrounds of each different social group such as: gender, age, education, income, way of living, family structure, etc. Finally, to apply these information to the considerations of kitchen waste design. Through questionnaires, The conclusions of this research are : 1. The main methods of disposing leftovers are being taken as garbage and self-fertilization. 2. The problems of the present way of disposal are: the frequency of recycling leftovers a week is too low, the classification of different kinds, lack of appropriate containers and the propagation of odor 3. The solution proposed from the viewpoint of product design defines the design characteristics with: A. Clean and concise appearance. B. The application of compound materials . C. Technologically-fashionable color planning. D. Top head opening safety protection. E. Enhancement of mobility. F. Consideration of water-oil separation. G. Easily-operated panel design.
